Board approves multiple administrator hires, names new Victoria West principal

The Board of Trustees voted unanimously on June 19 to employ a slate of administrators recommended by district leadership, including a principal appointment for Victoria West High School.

- Natalie Gerhardt — Assistant Principal, Torres Elementary School
- Kathy Myers — Assistant Academic Administrator, JJC
- Alicia Hill — College Readiness Coordinator, Office of Innovation
- Chloe Shoemake — Dean of Students, Smith STEM Elementary School
- Lori Holloway Johnson — Dean of Students, O'Connor Elementary School
- Caitlin Lewis — Dean of Students, Shields Elementary School
- Cody Franz — Social Emotional Behavior Support Specialist, STEM Middle School

In a separate motion the board also approved the superintendent’s recommendation to employ Michael Hernandez as principal of Victoria West High School. Both motions were made after closed-session discussion; each motion passed unanimously 7–0.
