County approves $18,500 amendment with Hunt Engineers for stormwater pollution prevention plan

The Allegany County Department of Public Works requested—and the board approved—a resolution authorizing the chairman to execute Amendment No. 2 to the professional services agreement with Hunt Engineers for stormwater pollution prevention planning related to the DPW complex.

Tom Windus explained the amendment pertains to the SPDES permit for stormwater discharges associated with construction activity and includes preparation of the stormwater pollution prevention plan, report and associated inspections during the project. The total cost of the amendment is $18,500 plus any approved reimbursable expenses. Windus said the agreement is subject to review and approval by the county attorney.

Emmick moved the resolution and Kern seconded. The board approved the resolution by voice vote.

Windus said the term of the amendment will commence upon execution and remain in effect until completion of the defined services; he did not provide a projected completion date at the meeting.
