Gallatin County amends court services budget to accept $9,000 Missouri River Drug Task Force grant

The Gallatin County Commission on June 17 approved a budget amendment to accept $9,000 in grant funding from the Missouri River Drug Task Force for the county’s treatment court team.

“They granted us $9,000 again this year for the treatment court team to attend the National Association of Drug Court Professionals conference,” said Steve, a court services staff member, explaining that the task force has supported the team for over 20 years.

Steve said the funding helps the treatment court team learn evidence-based practices and best practices for the program. The commission opened the item for public comment; none was recorded on the transcript.

A motion to adopt Resolution 2025-046 to amend the Fiscal Year 2025 general fund court services budget passed after a motion and second were recorded. Commissioners praised the program and described the conference as a professional development opportunity that supports long-term program effectiveness.
