Oak Creek, Wis. — The Oak Creek Common Council on July 15 approved a certified survey map reconfiguring two city‑owned parcels in the Oak View Business Park so one parcel can be sold to an announced user identified as Jersey.
City staff explained the CSM divides and reconfigures the land into Lot 1 (approximately 31.1 acres) and Lot 2 (approximately 8.8 acres). The city intends to sell the larger Lot 1 to Jersey and retain Lot 2 as an outlot for future development.
Christie Lane, community development director, told the council the CSM meets the bulk requirements of the zoning district and the plan commission recommended approval. City staff also said stormwater facilities currently sized for Lot 1 would be revisited if future expansion required additional capacity; any amendment to stormwater management would follow standard permitting procedures.
The council approved the CSM by motion and roll call. Council members asked for confirmation that the pond and stormwater infrastructure could be amended as the property develops. Matt (city engineer) responded that the existing pond is sized appropriately for the current Lot 1 layout and that plans for additional impervious area would require amendments to the stormwater management plan.
The approval prepares the parcel for an imminent sale and development by the announced user; no final purchase agreement was read into the record during the meeting. The planning commission had recommended approval at its June meeting.
