Olive Branch board backs build alternative for Pleasant Hill Road widening ahead of public hearing

The Olive Branch Board of Aldermen voted to adopt a resolution selecting the build alternative for the project to widen Pleasant Hill Road from Church Road to Goodman Road (Highway 302).

City staff told aldermen the Mississippi Department of Transportation requires the governing body’s official support of a build alternative as part of the public hearing process. Approving the resolution does not change specific design details; staff described the vote as the board formally indicating it would use that plan if the project moves forward.

Alderman David Wallace moved to approve the resolution selecting the build alternative; Alderman Pat Hamilton seconded. The motion carried on an affirmative voice vote.
