Board approves Walker Park Comcast network project and substitutes lessee in Network Solutions escrow agreement

The Board of Works approved two technology-related items on July 1: authorization of the Walker Park Comcast network project contingent on legal approval, and approval of a Network Solutions escrow agreement and an amended lease-purchase agreement substituting DLog Landon Public Finance in place of Cisco Systems Capital Corporation.

A motion to approve the Walker Park Comcast network project passed with legal review required as a contingency. Separately, David Hopkins, the city’s network administrator, described extended negotiations to finalize the paperwork. The board approved the Network Solutions escrow agreement and the amended lease purchase agreement to substitute DLog Landon Public Finance for Cisco Systems.

Board members indicated the Cisco paperwork had required multiple prior appearances before the board; the motions passed by voice vote with those present saying aye.
