The Finance Administration Committee on July 17 moved to recommend Main Line Executive Realty and to advance both Main Line and a competing proposal from GEIS/Geist to full council for final decision on appointment as property manager for the borough's 201 property.
Committee members said Main Line Executive Realty previously served as the borough's property manager and that at least one familiar staff person remains; proponents noted that history supports rapid onboarding. Committee members who reviewed GEIS/Geist said its inspection process appeared particularly thorough and that GEIS/Geist's brokerage arm may have a connected party interested in a long‑term lease, which some members noted could create further opportunities or require additional diligence.
Given the short turnaround time and the desire to let full council weigh tradeoffs, the committee amended an initial motion recommending Main Line to instead forward both proposals to the full council for final selection. The committee deferred detailed negotiation of contract terms, including responsibilities for routine maintenance and contractor use, to subsequent council discussion.
