Council tables discussion of Utility Advisory Board structure for later review

Councilwoman Koss asked council to revisit the structure and membership of the city's Utility Advisory Board (UAB), including the board's size and whether outside (non-Cocoa) representation should be permitted when topics touch the potable-water system (examples raised include fluoridation and utility fees). Staff reminded the council that the UAB is advisory and that many utilities operate under franchise agreements; councilwoman Koss said she wanted additional time to refine a proposal and to confer with the city manager.\n\nAfter brief discussion council voted to table the item to a future meeting to allow the councilwoman and staff to refine and return with an item reflecting her suggested changes.
