County ratifies addendum to fair rodeo contract; sponsorships reported at $46,100

Lewis County commissioners on July 22 ratified an addendum to the contract with Plus 1 Productions to provide the rodeo at the 2025 Southwest Washington Fair.

Alex Murray, facilities director, said the addendum extends the original 2022 contract for the 2025 event and that the county had to secure the vendor on a timing basis. Murray reported that confirmed sponsor dollars for the rodeo stood at $46,100. He said the county will create a new agreement for future years after the current extension.

Commissioners praised the fair and the rodeo committee for their sponsorship work and approved the addendum as part of the deliberation items (resolutions 25-207 through 25-213) by a recorded 3-0 vote. No procurement irregularities were discussed on the record.

The county did not read the entire contract addendum into the record during the meeting and did not set a multi-year commitment; staff said a new agreement will be drafted following the 2025 event.
