Board updated on Anthony playground purchase and skate park grant closeout

Staff told the Muncie City Parks Board that playground equipment for the Anthony Park project (the old Anthony School site on Oakwood) has been purchased and that the mayor's office and the project organizers are working on implementation details for removal and installation.

Carl said the Anthony organization selected the manufacturer and completed the purchase, but that timing and installation logistics have not yet been scheduled. Staff agreed to invite Dustin Clark (city contact listed for the project) to a future meeting to present timelines and drawings.

Separately, the board noted the skate park ribbon‑cutting has occurred and that the Community Foundation had awarded a $40,000 grant for additional skate‑park features. Staff said a final grant closeout report will be prepared and presented at the next board meeting.
