The Education Technology and Policy Committee on May 20 recommended that the full Terrebonne Parish School Board approve an interagency agreement with Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government (TPCG) for Head Start services for the 2025 and 2026 school years and authorized the board president to sign necessary documents.
Blaise Pellegrunt, supervisor of special education, presented the agreement and introduced Diane Powell, TPCG Head Start administrator. Powell told the committee that the program will operate eight classrooms for the upcoming year after losing the Senator Circle site; previously the program had planned 10 classrooms.
The committee voted to recommend approval; no public comment was recorded and the motion passed at committee. Board members discussed the item briefly before forwarding the agreement to the full board for signature.
The recommendation also included standard authorization language to allow the board president to execute documents related to the interagency agreement.
