County approves Harrison Avenue pavement patching ahead of full overlay

The Winnebago County Board approved a resolution July 24 authorizing a water bid for pavement patching on Harrison Avenue between Mulford and Perryville, part of preparatory work for a full overlay next year.

Public Works Committee Chair Tassoni presented Resolution 205-4042 and said, “This is out in the area there in on Harrison Avenue between Mulford and Perryville. This is some preliminary concrete and the pavement patching, in preparation for a complete overlay next year.” The board approved the resolution by voice vote with no recorded opposition.

Why it matters: The patching prepares the corridor for a complete overlay, which can reduce future maintenance costs and improve safety. The work is localized to a section of Harrison Avenue and was presented as budgeted by the public works committee.
