Board to consider final reading to ban engine braking on section of Wells Ferry Road

County Engineer Angie Kirsten requested the third and final reading of an amendment to the county traffic code to prohibit engine and compression brake use on 240th Avenue (Wells Ferry Road) between Territorial Road and Valley Drive. Kirsten told the board her office had not received ‘‘any additional feedback since the last meeting’’ about the proposed restriction.

Kirsten described the amendment as a targeted traffic-code change limited to the specified segment and indicated that the office had already run prior readings; the transcript records no additional public comments or recorded vote at the Committee of the Whole meeting.

The matter moves forward as a formally noticed ordinance amendment but the meeting transcript does not record the board’s final vote on the third reading in this session.
