Board approves installation of mini-split condenser at Maple City Market

The Goshen Board of Public Works and Safety on July 24 approved Maple City Market’s request to install a 3.5-ton mini-split condenser on the rear (east alley) wall of the building at 314 South Main Street.
Jesse Stoltzfus, representing the project, said he had discussed placement with the building department and with an NIPSCO engineer and that the location will be hung from the wall behind a former utility post; he said bollards would be added only if the condenser were moved lower on the wall. Engineering and staff raised no objection in the meeting record, and the board approved the installation unanimously.
The motion authorized the installation as described; the board did not attach additional permit conditions in the meeting record beyond standard building-department requirements.
