The Playbill Arts Council introduced new members and invited brief personal introductions at its July meeting. The council's chair noted the nominating committee recommended the appointments and staff welcomed the new members and asked each to share a short background.
"Hi. I am Natasha Vaughn. I am a working artist," Natasha Vaughn told the council, describing theater, poetry and performance-based practice and saying she had just joined the council that day. Elizabeth ("Libby") Muscari identified herself as working in research communications at the University of Arkansas and said she brings an interest in arts and wellness; Diana Ruby said she is a master of design student with a background in nonprofit and economic development and is interested in the role arts play in community building. Longstanding council members and staff briefly described their roles and encouraged cohort introductions.
Council members said newcomers would be given time in future agendas to introduce themselves fully. Staff asked new members to take time to review the packet materials (including the public-art policy draft) and to send feedback to staff by email so comments can be compiled ahead of the next meeting.
