Frisco City Council formally canvasses June 7 runoff; declares winners for Places 2 and 4

Frisco City Council on June 17 adopted an ordinance canvassing the certified results of the June 7 special runoff election and formally declared the winners for two council seats. The council accepted the certified returns and declared Bert Thacker the winner for City Council Place 2 and Jared Elad the winner for Place 4. The motion passed 6-0.

A staff member read the ordinance language on the council floor and moved its adoption. A motion to approve the ordinance was made by Councilmember Bill Woodard, seconded by Tammy Miner Shagan, and approved without opposition.

The ordinance, as read at the meeting, accepts the certified results and declares the election winners; the meeting record shows the council adopted the ordinance by unanimous vote.
