Commissioners approve end-of-introductory promotion for Anna Turner Simon

McPHERSON — The McPherson County Board of Commissioners approved an end-of-introductory personnel change for an employee identified as Anna Turner Simon, moving her from pay grade 13A to 13B effective July 6, 2025.

Emily, a county staff member who presented the personnel change notice (PCN), said Anna Turner Simon “started with us very early January” and has been working independently since June. Emily said Simon’s call scores are at 81 percent and that she was certified in May under department protocols.

“She has an infectious positive attitude that I enjoy having around,” Emily said.

During the meeting a commissioner moved to approve the PCN: “Mister vice chairman, I move that we would approve the PCN for Anna Turner Simon. End of introductory, This is effective 07/06/2025.” Another commissioner seconded, and the motion carried on a voice vote; the transcript records “All in favor, say aye. Aye. Motion carries.” The transcript does not record individual roll-call votes.

The presentation and vote focused on personnel status and performance metrics; no changes to pay amounts were stated on the record during the meeting.
