Senate adjourns in memory of Gloucester student-athlete Christopher J. Daley

The Massachusetts Senate voted to adjourn in memory of Christopher J. Daley of Gloucester after Senator Tarr moved the motion and members approved it. Senator Tarr described Daley, 18, as a Gloucester native who attended Rockport schools through eighth grade, was a four-year varsity hockey player and co-captain at Gloucester High School, was named defenseman of the year in his senior year, and a member of the National Honor Society who had planned to begin business studies at Coastal Carolina University. Senator Tarr said Daley died from injuries sustained in a car accident on June 30, 2025; the motion to adjourn in his memory was adopted and the Senate observed a moment of silence.
