Board approves asphalt, bleacher and flooring work and authorizes vehicle purchase for food service

The Lewisburg Area School District board approved a package of facility repairs and capital purchases during Tuesday's meeting.

Board members voted to approve asphalt repairs at the middle school/poling athletic complex and a change order covering permitting and related drawings for middle school facility improvements. The board also authorized the purchase of replacement upper‑field bleachers and approved the middle school classroom flooring installation after abatement work.

In separate action, the board approved the purchase of a 2022 van to support the food‑service department; the superintendent said the purchase will be paid from food‑service funds and does not affect the district's general operating budget.

Board members discussed vendor bids for flooring and confirmed the district chose the lower bid with a color scheme similar to other district classrooms. Votes on these items were taken by roll call and carried unanimously.

Administrators said work is at different stages across summer projects and that staff will report back on project timelines as part of a summer projects update to the board.
