Henry W. Moore School named 2025 New Hampshire K–8 School of Excellence; Candia selectmen recognize faculty and students

The Henry W. Moore School in Candia was named the 2025 New Hampshire K–8 School of Excellence, and the school was recognized at the Candia Board of Selectmen meeting on June 23.

An executive councilor for District 4 (unnamed) read a letter of congratulations and a commendation from Gov. Kelly Ayotte that described the Moore School's "exceptional commitment to academic excellence, personalized learning, reflective practice, and a strong and inclusive school community." The proclamation text notes the school serves about 280 students in grades kindergarten through eight and highlights small class sizes, inquiry-based learning and a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS).

Principal Becky Wing accepted the recognition on behalf of the school. The proclamation references the New Hampshire Excellence in Education Awards Committee and said the Moore School was formally recognized at the awards ceremony on June 9 at the Doubletree Hilton in Manchester.

Board members praised the school and principal during the meeting; the transcript records congratulations and references to earlier awards (principal of the year). No formal board action was required; the portion of the meeting was ceremonial recognition and a group photo was taken.
