Sheriff's office: juvenile detention fiscal-agent contracts, jail-based MAT, and juvenile screening agreements approved

Representatives from the Grand County Sheriff’s Office presented several justice-services contracts on July 22 and the Board approved each by motion.

Fiscal-agent subcontracts: the board approved two Colorado Youth Detention Continuum (CYDC) subgrant agreements for the Fourteenth Judicial District under SB94. One agreement delegates fiscal-agent duties to the county for the District Attorney’s office; the second approves the county acting as fiscal agent between CYDC and Moffat County. Staff noted signature-name corrections would be handled at signing and the clerk will attest.

Medication‑assisted treatment (MAT): commissioners approved a services contract for jail-based behavioral health and medication‑assisted treatment administered by Rocky Mountain Clinic Clinics LLC, providing approximately $150,000 to support treatment for incarcerated persons with substance-use and mental-health needs in the county jail.

Juvenile screening and therapeutic services: the board approved a contract for juvenile screening with Jefferson County Juvenile Assessment Center (total ~$8,108.65) to conduct screenings locally, and a separate therapeutic-treatment services contract billed on an hourly basis with a not-to-exceed amount (no-exceed figure referenced as $78,000 in the packet). Staff described hourly increments and reimbursement procedures; commissioners approved these agreements.

Actions: the board voted to approve the agreements and delegated signature and attestation to the chair and clerk as appropriate. Commissioners requested staff ensure accurate signer names and dates before final signature.
