Student urges peers to review conduct rules, reminds community that Chatham County schools start Aug. 4

Student Ava Brown told meeting attendees she will attend Albany State University this fall and urged peers to review the student code of conduct because “some regulations have changed since last year,” she said.

Brown said the skills she learned in school — particularly related to health and safety — will help her at university and encouraged regular attendance. “Making good choices and coming to school every day matters because you belong here,” Student Ava Brown said.

She reminded listeners that school in Chatham County begins Monday, Aug. 4, and directed people to the district website for information: “Visit secpss.com for more information,” Brown said.
