Plano seeks sixth- through tenth-graders for Youth Recreation Committee

Stacy Rogers, host of Plano City News, said the Plano Youth Recreation Committee is accepting applications for the upcoming school year from students in sixth through tenth grade. The committee is described as a teen-led group that meets monthly with parks and recreation staff to shape programs and events, offer ideas, earn volunteer hours and build leadership skills. Applications are open through August, and the city provided a link (share.plano.gov/youthreccommittee) for applicants. Rogers characterized the committee as an opportunity for youth to have regular input on Parks and Recreation programs.
