Plano waives most adoption fees now; all fees waived starting Aug. 25 during Clear the Shelter event

Stacy Rogers, host of Plano City News, announced a Clear the Shelter special running through the end of the month. Rogers said, "Adoption fees for pets 6 months and older are waived," and added that beginning Aug. 25 all animal adoption fees will be waived. According to the announcement, every pet is spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before leaving the shelter. The city listed adoption requirements: bring photo identification, $10 for pet registration if you live in Plano, and landlord approval if you rent. Rogers also advised that current pets should be vaccinated but left at home when visiting the shelter.
