Board approves personnel item; several motions add agenda items for review

At the start of the meeting the presiding officer moved to add previous meeting minutes and multiple agenda sections to the legislative meeting record. The board made and seconded motions to add: the June 23, 2025 meeting minutes; education items 1–19; policy items 1–22 (new, revised and retired); finance items 1–9; personnel items 3–8; facilities and support services items 1–5; and athletics and activities items 1–3. Each motion was seconded and added to the legislative meeting agenda by voice vote.
A personnel action requiring a vote (personnel item 1) was moved by Dr. Thomas and seconded by Mr. Koch; the board approved the motion by voice vote (“Aye”); no board member opposed and the presiding officer declared the motion passed. No roll-call vote tally was recorded in the transcript; the meeting record notes seven members present at roll call earlier in the session.
