The mayor reported that National Night Out was held last night at Betty Booth Roberts Park and publicly thanked multiple town and community organizations that supported the event.
"Out was held, last night at Betty Booth Robert's Park. A special thanks goes out to all the fine men and women of the town of Davie Police Department, Police Administration, Community Policing Unit, Mounted Patrol Unit, Detective Sova and MOCA, the therapy dog, SWAT, QRF team, Motors Unit, Davie Police Athletic League, CSA, traffic unit, Deitra and Chelsea. Jeff Pullman and all his team from the Parks and Recreation. Phil Holste for his staff from the, CRA, Debbie Thomas and Cheryl Everett. And of course the event sponsors Jim Moore, Sicilian Oven Pizza and Salad Point, Papa John's, Antonio's Pizza, Wawa's, Home Depot, Walmart, Walgreens and CVS and to all the community for coming out and participating in the event despite all the rain right before the event," the mayor said.
The mayor added brief thanks after the list and said the weather cleared for the event. No formal proclamations, budget actions, or follow-up assignments tied to the National Night Out remarks were recorded in the meeting transcript.
