At the start of its meeting, the Clay County Commission approved the evening’s agenda and later approved the consent agenda and a separate set of prosecutor’s office invoices.
Commissioner Johnson moved to approve the meeting agenda; the commission called the roll and the motion passed 4-0. Later in the meeting the county administrator read two consent items. The consent agenda covered county invoices from July 26 through Aug. 1: "243 invoices totaling $512,904.21," the administrator said. Commissioner Johnson moved to approve the consent agenda; after a roll call the motion passed 4-0.
The regular agenda included item 2025-235, approval of nine invoices for the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office for the same period. The administrator said the nine invoices totaled $1,105.96. Commissioner Johnson moved to approve item 2025-235; the commission voted 4-0 to approve.
The meeting record shows the commissioners who voted "yes" were Commissioner Johnson, Commissioner Whittington, Commissioner Lawson and Commissioner Wagner. No second was recorded in the public transcript for the motions as read.
