Resident tells La Paz supervisors County 41 E not maintained for two years; threatens legal action

During the meeting's public-comment period on Aug. 4, resident Ron Bales told the Board of Supervisors that County 41 E has not been maintained for two years and urged the county to act.

Bales, identifying himself as “Ron Bales from Bausse,” said he had “emailed you several times on the matter of County 41 E not being maintained and you never responded.” He said the county has maintained the road for 30 years but that “it hasn't been touched in 2 years.”

Bales told the supervisors, “If nothing gets done, I'm just gonna have to take you to court.”

The comment was made during the call-to-the-public portion of the meeting; no staff report, response or formal action addressing County 41 E was recorded in the meeting minutes. The board did not schedule a follow-up or take a vote on the matter during the session.
