Commission appoints Drew Moore to Planning Commission to fill Joe Flake vacancy

The Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 6 unanimously appointed Drew Moore to the Miami County Planning Commission to fill the vacancy created by Joe Flake’s resignation.

Commissioner Scruggs moved to appoint Moore and provided brief background remarks: “Drew is Head of Sales at Quality Automotive...Lives in Fontana...He knows a lot of the things in the county...dealing with economic development, the ruralism.” Commissioner Vaughn seconded and the board approved the nomination with an aye vote.

Moore was present at the meeting. Scruggs said Moore’s appointment would fulfill the remainder of Joe Flake’s term; when asked, Scruggs said she would check the term expiration date. No additional conditions or interview summaries were read into the public record.
