Commission raises two employee wages, approves online job application and discusses communications card policy

The Pratt County Commission voted 3-0 to raise the hourly rate for a county employee identified as Justin Good from $17 to $18 after six months of service. The motion was made and seconded and passed by voice vote.
Separately, the commission voted 3-0 to increase road department mechanic Daniel Martin's wage from $20.10 to $23.10, with the motion recorded and approved on the public record.
On administrative modernization, staff presented an updated county job application and job descriptions to be placed on the county website. Commissioners approved making online and paper versions identical and adding required references; the motion to make job descriptions and job applications available online passed 3-0. Staff said the county would permit applicants to upload required documents and route applications to the appropriate offices automatically.
Commissioners also discussed whether communications or emergency-management staff should have a county card for purchases (batteries, antennas, travel for training). No formal policy change or card issuance was recorded; staff were instructed to continue using existing reimbursement procedures, to bring receipts for reimbursement, and to investigate whether a previous card had existed under a former employee's name.
