City planning staff told the Lake Havasu City Planning and Zoning Commission on Aug. 6 that a general plan audit has been released and that the city is seeking public comments on the audit’s goals, objectives and policies.
"The general plan audit has been sent out and [we] highly encourage to get as many comments as possible on that regarding the different goals, objectives, policies from our current plan...which ones need to be amended," Mr. Gilbert, a city staff member, told commissioners. He said the steering committee will hold its next meeting on Aug. 13.
Staff also told the commission that a general plan update would be presented at the Sept. 17 meeting. The commission received the announcement during routine correspondence and no public testimony was taken on the general plan at the Aug. 6 meeting.
The commission canceled its Aug. 20 meeting; the next regular meeting is Sept. 3, which will include a planned development application on the agenda, staff said.
