Carefree council adopts ordinance limiting summer construction hours to reduce heat risk

Staff described the ordinance as splitting construction hours into summer and winter categories and allowing earlier start times for specific activities such as concrete pours. The July 1 session was the published public hearing for the second reading; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. After a motion and second, the council voted to adopt the amendment; the clerk recorded the measure as passing unanimously.
