Board authorizes DRA resolution, adds Sam.gov signer and approves First Mile event attendance

At the Aug. 18 meeting the Claiborne County Board of Supervisors approved several administrative items: a resolution for the DRA (Downtown Revitalization Assistance or similar program) for Lynette Smith with Southwest Planning, authorization for a county employee to manage the SAM.gov registration, and attendance at a First Mile Initiative meeting.
The board approved a motion authorizing the board president to sign the DRA resolution "subject to editing by the attorney," and passed a separate motion to designate Miss Parker to have authority to sign for the county’s SAM.gov registration while the prior authorized employee is on leave. The board also approved sending supervisors to the First Mile Initiative meeting at Mama Hamlin in Ridgeland on Aug. 21.
