The applicant for a proposed Kids Garden at 10017 Folsom Boulevard withdrew the conditional-use permit application before staff presentation at the Rancho Cordova Planning Commission meeting on Aug. 13.
Planning Department staff informed the commission that "the Kids Garden applicant has withdrawn their application for the conditional use permit, so [we] no longer have a presentation for you today," and no presentation was made.
Because the application was withdrawn, the commission opened and then closed the public comment period and took no formal action on item 6.1. Commission members confirmed there were no speaker cards for the item. The commission moved on to the next agenda item after staff's announcement.
The item had been listed as CEQA-exempt under the city exemption for existing facilities. No additional details about the reason for withdrawal, any revised proposal, or a future submittal schedule were provided at the meeting.
The commission did not set follow-up direction, and staff did not identify any outstanding submittal materials that would require a return to the commission. Public comment was not received on this item at the Aug. 13 meeting.
Planning staff or the applicant may submit a new application in the future if the proposal is revived; no timeline was provided at the meeting.
