Authority reports first public auction; four parcels sold above reserve, one below; Horace elevator sale unresolved

At the end of the July 23 meeting the Diversion Authority Land Management Committee received a staff update on the agency’s first public auction. Justin Fisher (Director of Lands) and Eric (staff member, Lands) reported that six parcels were offered: four sold for more than their reserve price, one sold slightly under its reserve, and the sixth parcel (an elevator in Horace) requires additional staff deliberation.

Why it matters: The auction is the authority’s initial use of public sale listings for excess parcels. Staff said they will return to the committee with further details and recommendations about the Horace elevator parcel at a future meeting.
