Durham Springs council approves alcohol permits for two new Denham Springs restaurants

Durham Springs — The Durham Springs City Council on Aug. 25 approved two retail-class AR restaurant alcohol permits for businesses in Denham Springs.

The council approved a permit request from S A M A Food Network, Inc., doing business as Lashees Greek and Lebanese, for a location listed in the meeting as 2660 Saccolay Boulevard, Suite C and D. The council separately approved a permit for Sushi Ninja Ace LLC, doing business as Sushi Ninja, for premises described in the record as 121 Bass Pro Boulevard. No public opposition was recorded during those agenda items.

For the Lashees permit, a motion to approve was made and seconded; the clerk called the vote and recorded affirmative votes from those named. For the Sushi Ninja permit, Councilmember Gilbert moved for approval and the motion was seconded by Councilmember Liam Williams; the clerk called the vote and recorded yes votes from Gilbert, Liam Williams and Poole and the permit was approved.
