Chair Manley attended their final Downtown Design Review Board meeting on Aug. 28, and staff announced the board will meet Sept. 11 to consider a certificate of compatibility for the Roosevelt Lincoln Lofts project and to hold the board's annual business meeting and training.
The announcement matters because the Sept. 11 meeting will include a project review that could affect downtown development and will include elections for new chair and vice chair.
During closing remarks, staff thanked Chair Manley for their service on the Downtown Design Review Board. Chair Manley said they appreciated serving and noted they have seen considerable change downtown during their tenure.
Staff said the Sept. 11 session will begin with a 3:00 p.m. annual board training, followed by the regular 4:00 p.m. meeting when the Roosevelt Lincoln Lofts certificate of compatibility will be considered and the annual business meeting to elect a new chair and vice chair will be held. Staff also said one new member will join the board at that meeting.
No formal action was taken on the Roosevelt Lincoln Lofts project at the Aug. 28 meeting; it was announced as an upcoming agenda item. Chair Manley's departure was noted in the meeting's announcements and was not the subject of a formal board action.
