Select Board formalizes easement for historic barn on North Road

The Select Board opened and closed a public hearing Aug. 11 to record a previously signed historic-bond easement for a barn on North Road, and the board voted to formalize the easement as a matter of record.

The chair said the board had already signed the historical bond easement for the barn and opened the public hearing to allow any public comment before making an official vote. No members of the public spoke during the hearing, and a board member moved to approve the easement; another member seconded the motion.

Hearing no further discussion, the chair called for the vote and declared the public hearing closed at 6:32 p.m. The meeting record shows the board members present answered in favor when the vote was called.

The board did not discuss additional terms or changes during the meeting; minutes from Aug. 4 were accepted separately later in the session.
