State House resolution honors Parkway coach Gloria Williams at Bossier Parish meeting

The Bossier Parish School Board recognized Parkway High School girls basketball coach Gloria Williams during its Aug. 7 regular session when Representative Dennis Bamberg read a Louisiana House of Representatives resolution commending her career.
"Therefore, be it resolved that the House of Representatives of the legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Parkway High School girls basketball coach Gloria Williams on her successful career," Bamberg read on the board floor and presented the recognition to Williams.
Coach Gloria Williams, accepting the recognition, said she was grateful and thanked the district leadership and the community, saying she was "thankful" and that she appreciated the support she has received in Bossier Parish.
Board members and attendees offered congratulations; the recognition was presented as part of the meeting’s recognitions segment and no formal board vote was required or recorded for the acknowledgement.
