Board appoints Jason Engberg as Glendale Heights director of community development

The Village of Glendale Heights Board of Trustees approved Resolution 2025‑R‑87 on Aug. 7, 2025, appointing Jason Engberg as the village’s director of community development.

The resolution followed repeal of a previous appointment (Resolution 2025‑R‑86) that the board said was required because an earlier agreement fell through. The board voted by roll call to approve Engberg’s appointment; trustees voted in favor and the resolution was adopted.

Jason Engberg, present for the vote, thanked trustees, staff and his family. “I look forward to getting to meet all the rest of the staff members, the other trustees I haven't had the honor yet, and, most importantly, the residents and businesses here,” Engberg said. He told the board he will begin work right after Labor Day.
