Development Services reports staffing changes: new development services assistant, compliance officer, and floodplain administrator named

At the meeting the planning commission received an update from staff about recent changes in the Development Services Department. Staff reported the previous stormwater specialist, Liam Sotto, left in December. The city modified that position to a Development Services Assistant and hired Zachary Durbin to manage stormwater responsibilities and help handle phone and public inquiries.

Staff also said duties related to code compliance had been moved to Development Services and that the compliance officer position, which had been vacant for a time, is now filled by an employee identified as Zoe, who has been on the job for a little over a month. Staff noted Taylor will serve as the community's floodplain administrator and mentioned Gary in passing during the update.
