The Livingston Parish Planning Commission on May 1 approved the final site plan for Ascension Towing and Recovery, a project presented by Quality Engineering for Council District 1.
Vincent Orlando, representing Quality Engineering, told the commission, "we've done our studies and addressed all comments" and asked the commission to approve the plan. Parish staff recommended approval; planning staff also recommended approval. Commissioner votes recorded in the meeting transcript show the motion to accept the final site plan was moved by Mr. Norman and seconded by Mr. Clemons and carried with all recorded votes in favor.
The commission briefly discussed the location of a stormwater outfall. An unnamed commissioner asked, "why didn't you guys put the drop on further back on that?" Orlando answered that the property's outfall is dictated by a ditch running through the parcel and that the outfall location is tied to that ditch. No changes to the plan were requested on that issue during the meeting.
The approval completes the final site plan review; planning staff did not record additional conditions in the meeting transcript. The project was identified in the presentation as being in Council District 1 and was presented by Quality Engineering on behalf of Ascension Towing and Recovery.
The commission moved on to the next agenda item after the vote.
