Board approves public notice to reemploy retired high school principal and passes consent and personnel agendas

At the work session the board approved a public-notice resolution to rehire a retired high school principal and approved multiple routine items including the consent agenda and the personnel agenda.

During the superintendent's report the board voted to approve the public-notice resolution for reemployment of a high school principal; the resolution will be posted in accordance with Ohio administrative practice and a short hearing will follow the notice period. The roll call for that resolution recorded yes votes from the board members present (transcript roll call: Missus Kelloggard; Mister Lumpkin; Missus Carrington; Missus Cherry).

The consent agenda (items a through f as listed on the agenda) was presented and approved by roll call at the meeting. The personnel agenda covering separations, appointments, changes in salary and supplemental positions was presented and approved by roll call later in the meeting; the vote passed with the board members present voting yes.

These motions were made and voted during the public portion of the meeting; the superintendent said the reemployment notice will be posted as required and staff will schedule the short hearing within the statutory period. No additional conditions or amendments were recorded at the work session.
