The Committee on International and Legal Affairs voted to report Resolution 25-218 out for adoption, a measure concerning a neighborhood board appointment, after brief member remarks and no public testimony.
The item drew no in-person or remote public testimony. Managing Director Mike Formby told the committee that the nominee’s executive director was not available due to illness. Council Member Okamoto praised the nominee’s community work, saying, “Larry is a very strong advocate for our community.” Another member echoed Okamoto’s support and described the nominee as “very well suited for reappointment.”
The chair recommended the resolution be reported out for adoption and asked whether there were any objections; none were recorded on the public record during the meeting. No formal roll-call vote or additional motions were recorded in the public segment of the meeting.
The discussion was limited and concentrated on the nominee’s community engagement; there were no written or oral objections from the public and no requests for further review. The committee moved on to the next agenda item after reporting the resolution out for adoption.
