County notifies approval of cost overrun for EOC stair enclosure; reimbursement request submitted

Victoria County staff informed the Commissioners Court Aug. 4 that a cost overrun for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) stair enclosure project was approved, raising the project total from roughly $206,000 to about $294,000. County staff said the increase reflects pandemic-era price escalation and out-of-pocket expenses the county paid during construction and that the county has requested reimbursement under the applicable grant.
