Commission authorizes mayor to sign two construction agreements for Walnut Woods development

The City Commission authorized the mayor to sign two agreements to support the Walnut Woods development, a motion the commission approved unanimously. City staff said one agreement is between the city and the developer to cover storm‑water and road work and the other is an intergovernmental agreement among the city, Grand Rapids and the developer for water and sewer work. Staff said the authorization allows the city to pay the inspector for the project. The motion to authorize was moved and carried without further discussion.
