Board closes public hearing and approves LADSI FY 2026 budget

The Board of Education of Lyons Township High School District 204 opened and then closed a public hearing on the LADSI FY 2026 budget at its Aug. 18 meeting and approved the budget as presented.
District staff opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to comment; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. The board then voted to close the hearing and later approved the LADSI FY 2026 budget by motion and roll call.
The administration asked whether there were questions or concerns and, hearing none, asked the board to adopt the budget. No budget line-item details were discussed on the record during the meeting; the administration said administration representatives (Ellie and Nick) had presented the tentative budget in June and were present to answer follow-up questions if needed.
Board members approved the budget by roll call; the district said follow-up reporting would be compiled after the conference of board members to summarize any related expenses.
