County clerk: 2026 primary set for March, general election in November; filing packets available

The county clerk told the governing body that the 2026 election season will include a primary in March and a general election in November and that filing packets are available at the county clerk's office. "The general primary is going to be March 2026, and the general is going to be November 2026," the county clerk said. The clerk listed seats with available filings: county treasurer, sheriff, county clerk and one seat on the county board. The clerk added that "Everybody is running again except for the, Daryl, and we have heard Blake Meisenheimer is going to be running in that spot." The clerk said packets can be picked up at the county clerk's office and invited anyone who needs a packet to see "me or 1 of the girls in my office."
