Mundelein adopts EV charging and NSF fees and amends fee schedule

MUNDELEIN, Ill. — The Village of Mundelein Board of Trustees voted to adopt an ordinance setting fees for returned checks (NSF) and for electric vehicle charging at village-provided stations, and separately approved an amendment to the municipal fee schedule.
Trustee Juarez moved the ordinance authorizing EV charging and returned-check fees; Trustee Krinsky seconded and the motion passed on a roll call. Immediately afterward, the board approved an ordinance amending Title 3, Chapter 8 of the Mundelein Municipal Code to update the fee schedule; that motion also passed by roll call after a second by Trustee Lambert.
Village staff did not provide tariff tables or per-kilowatt-hour rates during the meeting; the motions on the record authorized staff to implement the published fee schedule changes and the EV charging fee authority. Trustees discussed no additional conditions at the time of the votes.
