Council approves exclusive listing to market 87.5 acres at Fultz Industrial Parkway

Strongsville City Council on June 2 authorized the mayor to enter into an exclusive sales listing agreement with a commercial real estate firm to market approximately 87.5 acres of city-owned vacant industrial land on Fultz Industrial Parkway, adopting the measure as an emergency ordinance.

The ordinance, introduced as Ordinance No. 2025-64 by Mayor Perciak and all members of council, was moved, seconded and adopted by unanimous roll-call vote. Councilmember Carbone moved to suspend the rules and adopt the ordinance; Councilmember Kaminski seconded. The clerk recorded “yes” votes from Mister Spring, Mister Short, Mister Carbone, Mister Kaminski, Miss Kozak, Mister Clark and Miss Roth.

The measure authorizes the administration to enter into a professional marketing and advisory contract to assist in selling the land for industrial development. Council documents read into the record described the property as “approximately 87 and a half acres” currently under city development and intended for industrial use.

Council discussion on the ordinance was brief during the public meeting; the Finance Committee had reviewed the item beforehand and recommended the administration proceed with contracting a commercial real estate firm. No amount for the marketing contract was specified during the council reading and vote.

The ordinance was passed under emergency procedures, which typically allow immediate execution upon adoption. The motion to suspend and adopt carried with the full council voting in favor.
